Through sound financial stewardship, SECO Energy has returned (retired) Capital Credits to members consistently for many years. The most recent retirement is a record-high $6.1 million that was approved by the Board of Trustees in their September 2020 meeting. Since SECO’s inception, the co-op has retired more than $72.9 million to its current and former members.

If you moved out of SECO Energy’s service territory and think you may have unclaimed Capital Credits search for your name and complete the request form to begin a claim. We will work as quickly as possible toward resolution of your inquiry. It may take up to 60 days to research and issue a check on validated claims. We appreciate your patience and understanding that SECO is a not-for-profit electric cooperative with limited staffing.
If SECO determines that you have an authenticated claim, you may be asked to complete certain forms that are dependent on certain situations. The forms are available for easy access:
