2020 Scholarship Program

Applications are now being accepted for SECO Energy’s 2020 Youth Scholarship Program. Twelve winners will each be awarded a $3,000 scholarship. For over two decades, SECO has enabled over 300 young scholars begin their dreams of a college education by awarding over $500,000 in scholarships. Are You Eligible?

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Are you eligible for SECO scholarship - live in a SECO house

Student resides in a home served by SECO Energy.

Are you eligible for SECO scholarship - interested in pursuing a career in the energy industry

Applicant is interested in pursuing a career in the energy industry.

Are you eligible for SECO scholarship - High school senior

High school seniors who will graduate by the end of the current school year (May/June 2020).

Are you eligible for SECO scholarship - college acceptance letter

Student will be enrolled full-time in an accredited Florida college, university, or vocational/technical school by the end of 2020.

Are you eligible for SECO scholarship - pursuing a degree or certification in technology, engineering, math or business

Applicant is pursuing a degree or certification in technology, engineering, math or business.

An independent panel of educators from SECO’s service territory evaluates all applicants and selects each year’s winners. The decisions of the scholarship committee are final. Scholarship selections are based on scholastic record (weighted GPA), school/community activities, financial need and interest in pursuing a career in the energy industry.
