Community Involvement

At SECO Energy, community is at the heart of everything we do. As a not-for-profit electric cooperative, we exist to serve our members—not shareholders—and that commitment extends far beyond delivering reliable power. We are proud to invest in the people and places that make our service area strong by supporting local schools, first responders, civic organizations, and charitable initiatives. Our employees and Trustees live and work alongside our members, and we actively volunteer our time and resources to help our communities thrive, especially during times of need.

We give back in many meaningful ways, including awarding scholarships to local students, sponsoring youth programs and community events, supporting food banks, local United Way organizations, and Toys for Tots. We also provide educational outreach on electrical safety and energy efficiency, contribute to economic development efforts that bring jobs to our region, and respond quickly during storms to restore power and assist communities in recovery. By reinvesting in our communities and supporting our members, we help build a stronger, more resilient future for everyone we serve.
