Simple Ways to Lower Your Energy Bill:

Set thermostats to 78° or higher in summer and 68° or lower in winter
Keep the thermostat fan set to Auto
Ensure attic insulation meets R-30 to R-38 standards
Check or replace HVAC filters monthly and service the system annually
Set water heater temperature to 120° or lower
Avoid placing refrigerators in unconditioned spaces
Plant trees on the south and west sides of your home for shade
Use the air-dry setting on dishwashers
Consider solar screens or reflective window film
Replace frequently used bulbs with LEDs
